A letter from my Mother

OUR PERSONAL STORY:

To My Darling from Mummy

Once upon a time there was a gorgeous young lady and an extremely handsome young man, who were so excited because they were going to have a baby!

This lovely lady was expecting to have her precious bundle around January 31st 1984 and had been prepared for the arrival months earlier with cute zebra print curtains and matching cot blanket and lots of little toys in the babies bedroom.

Alas, the lady was still waiting for this moment 3 weeks later and in desperation, the doctor decided to bring her into hospital and induce her.

Well - all day nothing was happening and she had to go to another more specialised hospital where everything became very busy and scary for her. When baby became distressed the doctor decided to give her a caesarean on the 23rd February (23 days overdue!!).

The lady didn't enjoy the experience but when they held her new born daughter up in the air and said "she is well over 10lbs" (10pd 11oz to be exact) she sobbed with happiness - the rest as they say is history.............
